City of Ensign - Ensign Kansas

Showing of Thanks and Gratitude

We have had numerous visitors stop in at the Ensign City Hall  sincerely thanking the Mayor, City Council and Staff of the City of Ensign for the Construction of the Veteran's Memorial Park. They have mentioned  that as Veterans they  feels that it is rare that their  services are recognized and honored by smaller communities. They have also stated that the Ensign Veteran's Memorial Park is a wonderful memorial to those that have served this nation and given themselves for the freedom and safety of all citizens of the United States of America.

Ribbon Cutting held Veteran's Day
Sunday November 11, 2012!

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the VETERAN, not the organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

To Honor the Veterans

With Bravery and Strength They Serve,
With Dignity and Pride They Stand,
With Courage and Hope They Fight,
The Life They Live Is
DANGEROUS,
TREACHEROUS,
ROUGH,
AND
HARD GOING,
But When The Fog Clears

THEY ARE THE ONES WHO STILL
 STAND.
